To celebrate World Book Day we dressed up as our favourite characters from a book. We had everyone from Alice in Wonderland to Oliver Twist and Horrid Henry to Mulan! We also had some DEAR time so we could enjoy these wonderful books.

For National Book Day all classes dressed up as their favourite character from a story book. Every one got the chance to show off their outfit at assembly, which was good fun. Harry Potter and Judy Moody were popular, we even had the boy in the dress ! Five pupils in third and fourth class received their special WOW certificates this week after completing 20 WOWs . This is a great achievement and really helps the school achieve our ACTIVE SCHOOLS flag. They will now continue on to 30 WOW’s and a special Silver achievement award. Well done everyone ! 3rd and 4th class are busy with Junior Achievement and this week we had Anne’s second visit to work with us on the ” Our Nation ” programme. We became producers , our product was a pen and we learned about unit and mass production. Unit production worked best on the day. We tested our products in quality control, some did not pass the quality control test ! We got to keep our finished products. Thank you Anne and thank you Junior Achievement. Here we are at work….
The pupils of 5th and 6th class will be working on the topic of ‘Fairtrade’ over the next few weeks.
