We recently explored a science experiment testing the effects of various drinks on our teeth. We used boiled eggs to represent the enamel on our teeth. We have uploaded some images of the results. We were very surprised to learn how damaging diluted drinks and juices can be on our teeth.

Today we took part in a Halloween Art Attack Challenge. In groups we had to create a piece of art using chalk on our playground. We had great fun and everyone did a great job. Some of the ideas and techniques used by the teams were very clever. We took a vote from everyone in the class and the winners of the challenge were the White team, who included Dáire McConnon, Merlin Aji, Charlie McAfee, Sophie Hall and Jack Ralph-Black.

Today, 23/02/21, 3rd and 4th class enjoyed an athletics lesson. We worked on our running, jumping and throwing. We measured our throws and jumps, and we timed our sprints. We worked on our long jump at station 1. We practiced our long throw at station 2. We timed how fast we could run 25m at station 3. We threw for accuracy at station 4. At station 5, we completed a standing jump. Finally our station 6 involved a shuttle run around cones.

Please click into out Athletic stations to see the photographs of all the great stations we engaged with today!
