Last Friday we had the Cheerios Breakfast morning at school. We got a yummy breakfast while raising money for Childline. Thank you to the parents who came in to help out. We also got to sing our song ‘Polly, Wolly, Doodle’ for everyone at the breakfast.

 

 

We are lucky enough again this year to be taking part in the Music Generation Introduction to Strings programme. This year Claire and Yvonne will be teaching us the violin, viola, cello and double bass. Here we are getting started with our instruments.

 

First and second class have had a busy few weeks back at school. We’ve settled well in to our new routine and have already been hard at work on many different projects!

 

Yesterday we went on our school tour to Tayto park. It was an absolutely fantastic day. We had so much fun. First we went for a walk around to see all the different animals. Some of our favourites were the peacocks, the meercats and the leopards.Then we had a tour of the factory and learned about how Tayto crisps are made. After our delicious lunch in the restaurant we got to enjoy some of the rides and activities. We went on the climbing wall, the shot tower and the air jumpers to name but a few. Needless to say we were all exhausted after such an exciting day!

  

We had so much fun during our Active Schools Week. We took part in lots of events like a dance off, races, group activities, ‘Bling You Bike’ and we even ran a marathon between us!

For the last few weeks we have been learning camoige and hurling skills. It has been brilliant fun learning about the games. We might even have some future super stars in our midst!
