Today we had the Easter Draughts Competition Finals . The semi finals for both classes were hard fought and exciting. The finals were fast and tough and exciting to watch. The winners in both classes also won the Christmas Competition and are true draughts champions of their classes – well done lads! Everyone got a prize for taking part and the winners and runner ups got special winners prizes. Well done everyone !
This week Anne came to our classroom for the last time and we finished the ” Our Nation ” , Junior Achievement programme together. We made lots of business decisions about our Pet Shop Business. Anne presented us with our Junior Achievement certificates, here they are ….
This week third and fourth class took a close look at the effect of air pressure. We used bowls of hot and cold water to make the air in a plastic bottle expand and contract. When we put the bottle into the cold water air pressure crushed it out of shape. We got the bottle back in shape again by putting it in the hot water. Here we are at work………
Every Tuesday Cora visits our school and takes all the classes for Yoga. We enjoy doing all the postures and breathing exercises with her. We always finish up our session with relaxation. Here we are with Cora…
We had great fun with Ann and the Junior Achievement activities this week. We set up and played The Big Business Game. We had to make business decisions . some were easy to make and others cost the business money. There was a lot of money in and money out, the bankers were very busy ! It’s not so easy to be successful in business but we had great fun trying. Here we are at work…..
For National Book Day all classes dressed up as their favourite character from a story book. Every one got the chance to show off their outfit at assembly, which was good fun. Harry Potter and Judy Moody were popular, we even had the boy in the dress !
