Bhí spórt agus spraoi againn ag ceiliúradh Seachtain na Gaeilge i mbliana. Glach na Naíonáin páirt i dtóraíocht taisce le rang 5/6 trí mheán na Gaeilge. Bhí lá glas ar fud na scoile le péinteáil aghaidhe agus ceol. Bhí rang 5/6 ag blasadh agus ag tarraingt plandaí seamróige. Maith sibh go léir!
We had a spook-tacular time celebrating Halloween. We had pumpkin carving, projects on the festival of Samhain, traditional games and the most creative homemade costumes. Oíche Shamhna shona daoibh!
Throughout the year, Junior and Senior infants have taken part in Buddy Reading with pupils from 5th and 6th class. At the beginning of the year, the older pupils read aloud to the infants, helping to build confidence and enjoyment in reading. As the months went on, the younger children made great progress-and by the end of the year, some were able to read books to their buddies in 5th/6th!
5th and 6th class attended the STEM workshop, 'Go Fly your Kite.' They learned all about gravity, aerodynamics and designed and made their own kites. https://goflyyourkite.com/
6th class girls (with the help of 5th class and 6th class boys) held a bake sale in aid of the crisis in Ukraine. Thank you to everyone for their very generous donations. We have raised a total of €1205 which we will be donating to Goal. Well done everyone!
Today, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th Class took part in our annual beach clean. Everyone worked very well and we gathered around 20 bags of rubbish from the Salterstown area. Well done to everyone involved.
