Well done to our boys Gaelic team who reached the semi final of the Cumann na mBunscol Sciath Uí Dhuinneachdha yesterday. The boys beat a competitive Phillipstown N.S. team in St. Kevins on a scoreline of 5-4 to 2-2. The semi final will be played next week. Well done boys.

On Wednesday, the 25th of September, we visited Clogherhead Beach. We witnessed the launch of the new RNLI lifeboat. The pupils took part in a variety of educational and fun activities. It was a great day for everyone involved.
The Coastguard Rescue helicopter came to visit St. Finian’s today. The children and STAFF were very excited and we had many visitors from the locality also. We had a very informative talk about the helicopter and the rescue services. Then we all got a chance to look around the helicopter. Many thanks to Rosie Grimes who was instrumental in organising the visit and co-ordinated tea and refreshments for all the coastguard staff. It was a truly wonderful event.
