On Friday 10th of October, we held a Cheerios Childline Breakfast Together morning. We had great fun eating our breakfast together to raise money for Childline. We all brought in €2 and we ate some Cheerios together in the assembly hall.

We love learning through play in Junior and Senior Infants. In October, we had great fun doing some activities based on the book “The Gruffalo”. We acted out the story wearing character masks; we made characters from the story with play dough; we played a Gruffalo memory game and Gruffalo snap; we put the pictures from the story into the correct order; we made a miniature forest with real leaves and twigs and did a puppet show in the forest; and we did the Gruffalo jigsaw.

 

Junior and Senior Infants were learning about road safety. Here we are modelling our RSA high visibility jackets!

 

We would like to extend a big St. Finian’s welcome to our new Junior Infants! They had lots of fun settling in and making new friends during the first few weeks.
