The boys and girls of 5th and 6th had a fantastic day at Tayto Park on Monday. We enjoyed the animals, the tour of the factory and of course the exciting rides. The pupils also had a tasty lunch during the day. Please enjoy our photos from the day!

Sixth Class
The pupils in 6th Class had a great Tuesday morning canoeing on the River Glyde in Annagassan! They had great fun splashing on the river and racing in the canoes! A big thanks to Celtic Adventures for the day out!
Well done to all the boys who represented the school at the Cumann na mBunscoil 11 aside blitz in Phillipstown on Tuesday afternoon. The boys did not go through unfortunately but they certainly gave it their all and put in some fantastic performances, including a powerful victory over Dromin N.S. A special well done to some of the boys in 3rd class who made their debut for the school team and played very well. The team will hopefully be out one last time this year in a friendly match against our local rivals St. Colmcilles.

The footballers for St. Finian’s put in a great brave display against a strong Walshestown team today in Ballygassan. The team showed great work rate and belief to come back and equalise late on, forcing extra time to be played. Unfortunately they were edged out narrowly in extra time leaving the final score at 2-6 to 2-2. The whole team and the subs that came in did the school very proud. A special mention must go to Caolán who scored the very impressive 2-2 for St.Finians.

A big well done to the boys and girls who did very well at the regional final in The Nuremore Hotel in Carrickmacross on Sunday. Both the younger and older teams did the school proud finishing in 8th and 6th place respectively out of a total of 25 schools!
The pupils got a nice present each for their hard efforts!
