On Friday 10th October we will be having our Childline Breakfast Morning. We will all join together in the school assembly hall for our breakfast. Children will receive a bowl of Cheerios and some orange juice. The Parents’ Association would like as many volunteers as possible to help set up the hall on Thursday after school and to help serve breakfast on Friday morning at 9:30am. This has always been a very enjoyable experience for the children and we are also helping to support the ISPCC Childline services. We suggest a donation of €2 per child.
You can find out more details about the ISPCC Childline services by clicking here.
On Friday, 3rd October we will all be wearing a sports’ jersey. we are supporting the GOAL Jersey day.
GOAL Jersey Day is an annual fun event that involves people from across Ireland wearing their favourite sports jersey for the day, and making a contribution to GOAL’s work in the developing world.
Children can make a donation and all money collected will go towards the GOAL appeal. We suggest an amount of €1-€2.

We have decided that we will run the “Turkeys For Christmas” project for a second consecutive year. The pupils of fifth and sixth class will be rearing 25 turkeys up to Christmas. A certain quantity will be sold at a fixed price and the remaining turkeys will be sold at auction close to Christmas. Fifth and Sixth class would like to thank John and Brian O’Neill for their help with the project once again. We would also like to thank the Parents Association for providing the loan to make the project possible!
Dont forget to get your turkey from Fifth and Sixth folks! Spread the word!
More news and updates on the turkeys to follow…
