As you have probably seen, on Friday night we will have our Movie Night, this year’s movie is Arthur Christmas. The children will receive information and tickets in the next day or so for the event. Please confirm your tickets as soon as possible so that we can plan for the number of children attending.

In addition to the movie, we will be holding the Christmas Raffle on Friday night, so if you could please make sure to return your cards with money this week to ensure that they are included in the draw.

Movie Night

The vote for Movie Night finished last night and the winner is…. Arthur Christmas!

We had a whopping 63 votes on the website, thank you to everybody who made the effort to place their vote! And it was a close run thing, with Arthur Christmas beating Wreck-It Ralph by 34 votes to 29.

It's MOVIE NIGHT

The Parents’ Association Movie Night and Christmas Draw will be held at 5pm on Friday 12th December at the school hall.

Please make sure you arrive early to save your spot!

Juice and Crisps will be provided, if you would like any additional snacks you are welcome to bring those along and we’d also suggest you bring a cushion or a pillow to sit on.

Tickets cost €3 per child, or a maximum of €10 per family.

Christmas Draw

Also on the night we will be holding the annual Christmas Draw. Cards have been sent home with children from school and we ask you to return cards with money by Friday 9th December at the latest.

Details of prizes for the draw will be available in the next couple of days.

It is wonderful to have you ,we hope you are all settling in and enjoying school.

Parents Association AGM

Many thanks to all those parents who attended the Parents Association AGM, held on October 15th
2014. We will endeavour this year to reduce the pressure on parents and as such we have five events
this year.

Events

Friday 12th December Movie night with Xmas Raffle at 5pm
Friday 30th January Quiz Night
Sunday 15th February Valentine Cake Sale
Sunday 22nd March School Walk
Sunday 24th May School Fete
These events are fun occasions to give an opportunity to socialise as a school community and to
raise extra funds for the school. Please note the dates and try to support the school community if
you can.

Christmas

The school carol service 17th December at 7pm is always a wonderful occasion and helps everyone
join in the Christmas spirit.
Please note school will close at 12 Noon on Friday 19th December and reopens Monday 5th January.

First Communion

First communion will be held on Saturday the 9th May. It is a lovely family event. We are asking for
the support of 3rd class parents to help out this year, as they have been through the process and know
what is involved.

New Security Measures

For the safety of our children in the school, after 9.30 am all doors are locked. If you need access
please press buzzer located on the front door with wheelchair access. Someone will come and help.

Fundraising

Many thanks to Eileen Murray, Declan Furlong and Mary Casey who raised more than €2500
collectively. A wonderful effort and gift to the children of St Finians.
