On Monday the 6th of March, 3 teams represented St. Finian’s at the FAI soccer tournament in Oriel Park, Dundalk. The boys’ teams played out on the main pitch of the League of Ireland champions. One of our boys teams were agonisingly close to qualifying for the finals on Wednesday. The girls’ team performed magnificently in their competition, winning their 1st game, drawing the 2^nd game and losing their 3rd game. All the boys and girls really enjoyed the day out. There were some fantastic performances on all of the teams and there were some excellent goals scored. We cannot wait for next year!

Well done to boys and girls who represented the school at the County final of the Credit Union Quiz in the Nuremore Hotel on Sunday the 5th of March. Unfortunately we didn’t qualify for the national final, but it was a great experience. The boys and girls got a nice surprise for taking part!! Well done to all!

Well Done to this weeks Pupil Of The Weeks

As part of our Active Schools Programme and the TV show “Operation Transformation”, all the boys and girls from St. Finian’s took part in 10 minutes of exercises at 10 o’clock on Friday the 10th of February. This fun initiative was carried out by most primary schools in Ireland. The aim was to have every boy and girl in the country being active at the same time.All the teachers took part too. It was great to see everybody exercising and having fun! Well done everybody!
