A reminder that the St Finians NS Parents Association Movie Night will take place in the school this evening from 5-7pm.

Movie and Popcorn are included. Children are asked to bring their own drinks and if they wish a cushion or pillow to sit on.

Cost is €3 per child with a maximum of €10 per family.

Please contact one of the committee or send a message on the WhatsApp group to let us know if you are available to help out.

Our next Parents’ Association meeting will take place on Monday 2nd November at 8pm in Dillonstown School.
We are appealing to all parents to consider attending this and further PA meetings this year.
The current committee are staying in their roles for this year.
If you are a new parent please consider attending these meetings.

Parents who attend the PA meetings get the opportunity to:

  • Meet other parents, a chance to actually talk beyond the “hello” and “goodbye” at school drop offs and pick ups
  • Find out what’s going on at your child’s school
  • Get involved in making decisions about activities run by the PA over the coming year
  • Have your say on raising funds and how they are spent at the school

 

The more involvement we have from parents then the less work will be involved for each of us, and the more we can achieve as a group over the school year.

The Parents’ Association are holding their first committee meeting of the year next Monday, 5th October.

The meeting will take place at 8.00pm at the school. All are welcome.

A reminder that the Parent’s Association Annual General Meeting is tonight at 8.00pm. All are welcome.

Following the decision to discontinue the bus service for St Finian’s, there will be a discussion around the possibility of arranging an alternative.

We will also have a member of An Garda Siochana to speak to parents about Internet safety and cyber bullying.
