At Assembly the boys and girls of our Green School’s and Active School’s Committees presented our new flag boards which will be displayed on the fence at the front of the school. Our school has been very busy achieving all these flags, which is a sign of our hard work and progress. So far we have an Active School’s Flag for promoting and encouraging physical activity at school. We have 3 Green School Flags for being environmentally friendly. We are in the process of going for our 4th green flag for “Travel”. Well done boys and girls.
This week, 5th and 6th class had to expand a rural landscape setting. They needed to create lots of different tones of paint and carefully “finish” the rest of the landscape. They turned out great!!!!
Over the past 2 weeks the boys and girls were busy collecting items for our Christmas Hampers. Each class collected enough items for 1 big hamper (some classes enough for 2.) We have a total of 9 hampers, which will be raffled off after the Carol Service next Wednesday. We want to say a huge thanks to all the families that contributed. Do not forget to send your draw cards in, because “If you’re not in it, you can’t win it!”

For Science Week, on the 15th November, 5th and 6th class attended a really cool Science experiment show in DKIT College Dundalk. We really enjoyed the day.
Fifth and Sixth Class were busy learning about “The Maoris”, the indigenous people of New Zealand. For art, we made some really cool Maori Designs.
