Hi all. Hope you all are keepimg well. An email was sent out to your parents with work for the week. I will also put it up here on the blog. I want you all to download the See Saw App as we will be using this. I will be emailing the passwords to your parents’ emails later.You can also use SeeSaw on a laptop or computer.

The project work was excellent. I will be posting up some of the projects up here later on. Anybody who has not sent me the project please do so through the email or wait and send it on SeeSaw.

5th & 6th Class Weekly Schedule: – 21st April

English

  1. Novel: Read final chapters 22,23 & 24. Do Kahoot Challenge on Wednesday . Kahoot Pin will be on school blog at 12pm along with the weekly fun Quiz.

5th Class:

Class Reader: Read the poem “Trees” page 178. – Create your own short poem on Trees. Try take a pic of the poem and upload to the SeeSaw when you receive your password.

Class Reader:  Unit 23 “Kidnapped by a Yeti”pg 179. Read Daily- And do activities A, B ,C & D. (1 a day)

    6th Class :

Class Reader:  Read the poem “Whispering Waves” page 174.  Create your own poem on the Seas. Try take a pic of the poem and upload it to SeeSaw when you receive your password.

Class Reader: Unit 23 “ The Wolf Wilder” page 175. Do activities A,B,C & D. (1 a day)

Correction: I will upload answers onto SeeSaw on Friday at 2pm to Class Reader. You can then correct in copy.

Maths

We will carry on with the Mathemagic next week.

  1. Hit the Button Tables- up to 12 mixed. Try get over 12 in a minute!
  2. Master Your Maths 5 & 6. I want you to do week 24.

Correction: I will upload the answers on See Saw on Friday at 2pm. You can self- correct any of the weeks from before Easter.

Art:

Because of the beautiful weather, I want you to try create a piece of art based on “Sunshine”

It can be created using paint and paper. You might even like to do some sort of a display using things in the garden or beach.(e.g leaves, flowers, shells etc.) You may like to sketch.  It is entirely up to you You can either send a pic on email or you can try upload to Seesaw. I will post some of the work on class page on seesaw and I will put some up on the school website blog.

Things to remember:

  • You will receive SeeSaw password later today.
  • Novel Kahoot and Fun Quiz on school blog on Wednesday @12pm.
  • PE ideas : Walk around Ireland- submit your KM on the Blog- + Joe Wicks.
  • Check SeeSaw Friday at 2pm for answers to English and Master Your Maths.
  • Reading: Most important thing is to dedicate a half and hour- 1 hour of reading your own favourite novels.
