Active Schools Week got off to a flying start today. All classes are helping to run a junior and senior marathon over three days. We are confident we can do this ! Power Hour for all classes is from 1 – 2 pm and expect to see very active pupils if you visit the school at this time. The first of todays highlights was the penalty shot competition. Mr. Mc Eneany very sportingly went between the nets and showed spectacular goal keeping skills. Senior classes thought they stood a better chance of scoring with Mr. Mc Eneany doing the goal keeping instead of Mr. Shevlin. Did they get a shock ?? Mr. Mc Eneany saved ALL the sixth class shots ( including the boys shots! ) Some extra talented juniors slipped a few shots past Mr. Mc Eneany and the girls showed they were up for the challenge too. Teachers got to shoot too . Ms. Lambe and Ms. Corrigan placed great shots but Mr. Mc Eneany had their match and saved both. Mr. Shevlin put a rocket of a shot just wide ( to Mr. Mc Eneany’s relief) and it was left to Mrs. Quinn to land one in the back of the net. It was great fun and everyone enjoyed the activity. Here are some photos of the action …….
